Chase started school on his birthday, so that was kind of lame. But we were able to go out to dinner and have cake. We went to Texas Roadhouse and made him ride the saddle. We had his birthday with his family in Springville this last Sunday. I can't believe how old we are! Crazyyy. Happy Birthday, Honey!

Lincoln: 9 Months Old
Lincoln is nine months old! He has been out longer than he was been in! He is such a joy and is getting the cutest personality. We went to the doctor for his 9 month wellness check up and the doctor said he was "superior".
This is the first month he hasn't gained weight! crazy! The doctor said he is perfect for his height though. He weighs 22 pounds 4 1/2 ounces (77%) and is 29 1/2 inches long (87%). I am just using up the rest of the size three diapers (to expensive not to right!) and already have the box of size four for him to use as soon as they are gone.
This month he learned to crawl up stairs and to pull him self up to anything. He claps at everything and likes to watch his puffs bounce when he hits his high chair tray. He loves to cruise around the couch and thinks he is such a big boy. His favorite thing to climb though is me and he uses my hair to pull himself up. Ouch. He crawls everywhere on his hands and knees. I'm glad he isn't afraid to crawl on different types of floors or grass. Today he has been testing his balance by lifting both hands up and seeing how long he can stand before falling or grabbing back on (usually only a second or two). It is so cute to watch him learn. He has figured out that when he is crawling it is easier to switch to sitting position and then switch directions than to try to turn around on his hands and knees. Little things like that are so amazing to me and remind me how every experience is new and he is learning all the time.
He got another tooth earlier this month so now he has the bottom two. He loves to chew on everything. It seems like he is teething again but it's hard to tell because be really doesn't get that upset.
He still is nursing a lot but has started being hungry for real food. We've moved on from baby food (who decided babies wanted there food puréed anyways??) and he usually just eats what I'm having. Potatoes (of any kind in any form), peas, rice, chicken, pasta, peaches, bread, you name it, he'll eat it.

Ensign Peak, Toasters, and The Museum
How have I never done this hike! It's only about 15 minutes each way, pretty steep, and well worth the view. You can see ALL of the valley. From the top, the airport looks tiny and you can see state street all the way to Draper. Lincoln loved being in his backpack. So fun. Plus you get to drive past the capital building and that's always cool to see up close.
After that we went to toasters. Chase had been there before on lunch breaks. It was so good! I got turkey avocado and added some pesto to it. Lincoln ate just about all of the avocado from my sandwich, cheese, turkey, bread, and roast beef. He loved it all.
Then we decided we wouldn't hate being inside an air conditioned building so we went to the utah museum of natural history. What a cool building that is! Chase loved looking at all the dinosaur and can't wait till Lincoln cares about them too.
What a busy day. Chase needed a break because he is so stressed with school. Pray for him!

Bear Lake 2013
We just got back from Beak Lake where Chase's family has a condo. We had fun doing flash cards on the way there to help Chase study for the GMAT. We stopped for lunch at McDonalds in Evanston. They have cute saddle chairs there for the kids! What! Only in Wyoming.
We got there Friday night and went on a bike ride right away. I got some ice cream and we pulled Link in the bike trailer around the resort. He loves that trailer.
On Saturday, Link and I slept in while Chase went golfing with the boys. Then we went over to raspberry days. We got character drawings done and walked around and had delicious home made root beer.
Then we went back and went to the lake for the after noon. Chase pushed Lincoln and me around on the paddle board and we sat in the shallow water. It went well as long as Link was holding on to me and he made the mistake of eating a few fists full of sand.
We went for another long bike ride that night and saw a family of deer including a baby Bambi. Then we watched the fireworks and went to bed.
Sunday Chase went on an ATV ride and Link and I walked to the park with the cousins. Then we pretty much packed up and went home. We tried out our new (to us) Kelty backpack. Link loves it.
It was so fun and we drove home and worked on the rest of the flash cards. It was fun to spend time with family and get Chase away from his studies for a couple of days. Now back to work!
3rd Anniversary
I can't believe it has already been three years. I feel like time has flown by and it was just yesterday that Chase and I got married. I could not have asked for a better husband. Chase has been so amazing in our three short years of marriage and especially during the nine months of pregnancy. But he has gone above and beyond since Lincoln has been born. He truly wants the best for Link and he works so hard for us. We have made it through so much school and tests and jobs and moving and moving and moving and he works so hard to keep it all together.
For our anniversary we went to Sam's Club for lunch because that is Chase's favorite place to eat lunch lately. Then we went to fashion place to walk around. We drove up by the natural history museum to look at the view. Then we went to city creek and window shopped and had Cheesecake Factory. So good. We had fun just being a family and celebrating each other.

Lincoln: Eight Months
My baby is 8 months old! This past month he has been changing like crazy.
This month Lincoln learned to crawl. He is so so so fast army crawling and he
can do five or six strides on his hands and knees. It is so fun that he can
move now and Desi loves to chase him. At church, I take him in to nursery because my mom
is in there and he crawls to all corners of the room. He loves to stand and
cruise along the couch or coffee table and transferring from table to couch etc. He learned to pull himself up in the
crib and will stand and stand for the longest time.
We had to get a bigger car seat because he is over the 22 lb weight limit on his old one. Plus I couldn't fit his arms in the chest straps. I think he weighs about 22 1/2 pounds which is, again, another pound and a half bigger than last month. Still no slowing down. He has moved on to 12-18 and 18-24 month clothes. that makes me so sad because he had some really cute 9 and 12 month clothes.
He has a tooth this month. It is his bottom left tooth. I think the right isn't too far off. He is always trying to feel it with his tongue. Teething hasn't been too bad. He was just fussy for an hour here or there for a couple days, no fever.
He still just loves to nurse nurse nurse. He likes cheese, meat, bread, popsicles, watermelon, and just about anything. He loves to talk and laugh and blow raspberries still. People stop me everywhere I go so they can admire Lincoln. The lady at the deli counter asked if she could give him an ice cream cone. I told her maybe when he is older and she made me promise to bring him back. He loves to clap and wave and is friendly to most people.
