Lincoln: 9 Months Old

Lincoln is nine months old! He has been out longer than he was been in! He is such a joy and is getting the cutest personality. We went to the doctor for his 9 month wellness check up and the doctor said he was "superior".

This is the first month he hasn't gained weight! crazy! The doctor said he is perfect for his height though. He weighs 22 pounds 4 1/2 ounces (77%) and is 29 1/2 inches long (87%). I am just using up the rest of the size three diapers (to expensive not to right!) and already have the box of size four for him to use as soon as they are gone.

This month he learned to crawl up stairs and to pull him self up to anything. He claps at everything and likes to watch his puffs bounce when he hits his high chair tray. He loves to cruise around the couch and thinks he is such a big boy. His favorite thing to climb though is me and he uses my hair to pull himself up. Ouch. He crawls everywhere on his hands and knees. I'm glad he isn't afraid to crawl on different types of floors or grass. Today he has been testing his balance by lifting both hands up and seeing how long he can stand before falling or grabbing back on (usually only a second or two). It is so cute to watch him learn. He has figured out that when he is crawling it is easier to switch to sitting position and then switch directions than to try to turn around on his hands and knees. Little things like that are so amazing to me and remind me how every experience is new and he is learning all the time.

He got another tooth earlier this month so now he has the bottom two. He loves to chew on everything. It seems like he is teething again but it's hard to tell because be really doesn't get that upset.

He still is nursing a lot but has started being hungry for real food. We've moved on from baby food (who decided babies wanted there food puréed anyways??) and he usually just eats what I'm having. Potatoes (of any kind in any form), peas, rice, chicken, pasta, peaches, bread, you name it, he'll eat it.
